Chad West Receives DAYL Award
Chad West was recognized for his community contributions and philanthropic efforts at the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Dec. 10 Foundation Awards luncheon at the Belo Mansion.
A resident and small business owner in Oak Cliff, West was specifically recognized for leveraging his law firm’s efforts to give back and improve the Dallas community. Each year, the Foundation Award of Excellence is presented to a DAYL Fellow who “has made a positive impact on the Dallas community outside of their work in the legal profession,” according to the organization’s website.
West opened his personal injury practice in 2010. He has won numerous awards for his legal advocacy. His neighborhood law practice is deeply connected to the Oak Cliff community and has made philanthropy a priority by conducting annual school supply drives as well as a Halloween Costume and Bucket Drive for neighborhood children. West is also co-founder of the Dash for the Beads 5K/10K race, which supports health, wellness and nutrition programming at local schools.
“I am honored to be recognized by my colleagues in the legal profession for the work we do in the community and count myself lucky to be able to give back in a meaningful way to the community that has supported and welcomed my family and me,” West said.
