Katherine Blakley Graduates From Law School
Katherine Blakley is a native of Enid, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Enid High School as the class salutatorian. She attended the University of Oklahoma, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in May 2012. During her time at OU, she worked for several years as a Writing Assistant at the Honors College Writing Center, helping honors students refine and improve their written work. She also served as a member of the editorial board of The Honors College Undergraduate Research Journal (THURJ) for two years.
After moving to Dallas in 2012, Katherine attended the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University. Throughout law school, she was active in advocacy competitions and the student group Women in Law. During her final year, she was a research assistant for Professor Jenia Turner, contributing heavily to Professor Turner’s paper “The Exclusionary Rule as a Symbol of the Rule of Law,” which is forthcoming in the SMU Law Review.
Katherine graduated with honors from the Dedman School of Law in May 2015. She will begin working as an attorney with us at Chad West, PLLC after she takes the Texas bar exam in July. Congratulations Katherine! We look forward having you as part of the team!
